- 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 pound of candy melts (various colors for decorating)
- Cake pop sticks
- Sprinkles or edible decorations (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the cake mix box instructions.
- Prepare the cake batter by mixing together the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake according to package instructions. Let the cake cool completely.
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl. Add the frosting and mix until well combined.
- Form small balls of the cake mixture, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Insert cake pop sticks into each ball and freeze for about 30 minutes to set.
- Melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, following package instructions.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Decorate with sprinkles or edible decorations while the coating is still wet.
- Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or a cup to allow them to set completely.
- Once set, package them in a gift box or arrange them in a decorative container for gifting.

- You can customize the cake pops with different flavors of cake mix and frosting.
- Add food coloring to the melted candy melts for a fun, colorful design.
