  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Fun, Cute & Perfect for Gifting

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pound of candy melts (various colors for decorating)
  • Cake pop sticks
  • Sprinkles or edible decorations (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the cake mix box instructions.
  2. Prepare the cake batter by mixing together the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake according to package instructions. Let the cake cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl. Add the frosting and mix until well combined.
  5. Form small balls of the cake mixture, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Insert cake pop sticks into each ball and freeze for about 30 minutes to set.
  7. Melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, following package instructions.
  8. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, allowing any excess to drip off.
  9. Decorate with sprinkles or edible decorations while the coating is still wet.
  10. Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or a cup to allow them to set completely.
  11. Once set, package them in a gift box or arrange them in a decorative container for gifting.

Notes

  • You can customize the cake pops with different flavors of cake mix and frosting.
  • Add food coloring to the melted candy melts for a fun, colorful design.
  • Store cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
