Description

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, mix oil, sugar, eggs, pumpkin puree, and water.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour batter into the pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Use canned pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Check doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
