- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz dark chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease four ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a double boiler. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla until pale and thick.
- Fold in melted chocolate mixture, then flour and salt.
- Divide batter among ramekins. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cakes rest for 1 minute, then invert onto plates.
- Drizzle with salted caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake – centers should be molten.
- Use high-quality dark chocolate for best results.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
