Description
These grilled chicken skewers are perfect for your Memorial Day cookout. Marinated in a tangy sauce, they are juicy, flavorful, and easy to make!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic, black pepper, paprika, oregano, and salt.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or zucchini to the skewers for added flavor and color.
- These skewers can be served with a side of rice, salad, or grilled corn for a complete Memorial Day meal.
