Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lbs chicken thighs and drumsticks
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken pieces in the marinade until evenly coated.
  3. Place chicken on the grill and cook for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  4. During the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush BBQ sauce over the chicken, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
  5. Remove chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce, homemade or store-bought.
  • For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the marinade.
  • Make sure to check the internal temperature of the chicken; it should reach 165°F for safe consumption.
