This BBQ chicken recipe is perfect for feeding a crowd on Memorial Day. Juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, it’s sure to be a hit at your gathering.

- 4 lbs chicken thighs and drumsticks
- 2 cups BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken pieces in the marinade until evenly coated.
- Place chicken on the grill and cook for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- During the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush BBQ sauce over the chicken, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
- Remove chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce, homemade or store-bought.
- For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the marinade.
- Make sure to check the internal temperature of the chicken; it should reach 165°F for safe consumption.
