Ingredients

  • 1 pound of strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 pound of blueberries, rinsed
  • 2 cups of whipped cream
  • 1 pound of pound cake, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the whipped cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. In a large trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Add a layer of half of the whipped cream mixture over the cake cubes.
  4. Layer half of the strawberries and blueberries on top of the whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining pound cake, whipped cream, and berries.
  6. Garnish with mint leaves if desired. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
