A festive and easy dessert perfect for Memorial Day, featuring layers of cake, fresh berries, and whipped cream.

- 1 large Angel food cake (cut into cubes)
- 2 cups Blueberries (fresh)
- 2 cups Strawberries (sliced)
- 3 cups Whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional for flavor)
Instructions
- In a large trifle bowl or glass serving dish, layer half of the angel food cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add a layer of half of the blueberries and half of the strawberries on top of the cake.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the berries.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, blueberries, strawberries, and finish with the remaining whipped cream.
- Drizzle with vanilla extract if desired, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- You can substitute any other cake for the angel food cake if preferred.
- Feel free to add more layers or different berries based on seasonal availability.
- This dessert can be prepared a few hours in advance for easier serving.
