- 1 pound cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 4 cups whipped cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix the whipped cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a large trifle bowl or individual cups, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add a layer of half of the sliced strawberries followed by a layer of blueberries.
- Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the fruit layers.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream.
- Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
