Description

Enjoy a flavorful Mediterranean twist with this easy-to-make chicken gyros recipe, paired with crispy parmesan fries.


Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 500g potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  2. Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. While the fries bake, season the chicken slices with paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Warm the pita breads in the oven or on a skillet.
  6. Assemble the gyros by placing lettuce, tomato, and cooked chicken on each pita. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the baked fries with parmesan and parsley, and serve alongside the gyros.

Notes

  • You can add red onions or cucumber slices for extra crunch.
  • For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the chicken seasoning.
