- 500g chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
- 500g potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1 tsp parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
- While the fries bake, season the chicken slices with paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
- Warm the pita breads in the oven or on a skillet.
- Assemble the gyros by placing lettuce, tomato, and cooked chicken on each pita. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
- Sprinkle the baked fries with parmesan and parsley, and serve alongside the gyros.
Notes
- You can add red onions or cucumber slices for extra crunch.
- For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the chicken seasoning.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
