Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  5. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
