Description

A hearty meatloaf and cheddar shells casserole that combines ground beef, pasta, and cheese for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked medium pasta shells
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Press the meat mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, drain excess fat.
  6. Layer cooked pasta shells over the meatloaf.
  7. Pour milk over the pasta, then sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for another 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • Substitute pasta with gluten-free shells if needed.
  • Add sautéed onions or garlic for extra flavor.
