Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and maple syrup.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped bacon gently into the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Using a donut cutter, cut out donuts from the batter.
- Carefully place the donuts into the hot oil, frying a few at a time.
- Fry each donut for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove the donuts from the oil and let them cool on a wire rack.
