A classic lasagna recipe with layers of pasta, ricotta cheese, meat sauce, and melted mozzarella.

- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix ricotta, egg, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and basil in a bowl.
- Layer 3 noodles in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread half the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
- Add half the meat sauce.
- Sprinkle 1 cup mozzarella on top.
- Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for beef.
- Use no-boil lasagna noodles to save time.
- Add spinach to the ricotta mixture for extra nutrition.
