- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground lamb over medium heat.
- Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in frozen peas and remove from heat.
- Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish.
- Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top of the lamb mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- Use leftover mashed potatoes for quicker prep.
- Top with cheese for extra flavor.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
