Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground lamb over medium heat.
  3. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in frozen peas and remove from heat.
  6. Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish.
  7. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top of the lamb mixture.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
