- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
- Add the sliced flank steak to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for more flavor.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Cook the beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and let it rest for a minute.
- Serve the beef over cooked rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
