Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat and add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger to the skillet.
  3. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  4. In another pot, steam the broccoli and carrots until tender.
  5. To serve, place cooked rice in bowls, top with the beef mixture, steamed vegetables, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
  • For extra spice, add some red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
