- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 (14-ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk
- ¾ cup key lime juice
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven.
- In another bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, egg yolks, and lime zest.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Use fresh key limes for the best flavor.
- Store bars in the refrigerator.
- Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
