Description

A quick and flavorful beef fillet marinated with harissa, ready in under an hour.


Ingredients

  • 500g beef fillet, trimmed
  • 3 tbsp harissa paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix harissa, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  2. Coat the beef fillet evenly with the marinade.
  3. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the fillet for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  6. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Adjust harissa for more or less spice.
  • Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness.
