Description
A tender beef brisket slow-cooked for 3 hours with a rich balsamic onion sauce.
Ingredients

- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Season brisket with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large pot and sear brisket on both sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add onions and garlic to the pot, cook until softened.
- Stir in balsamic vinegar and beef broth, bring to a simmer.
- Return brisket to the pot, cover, and transfer to the oven.
- Bake for 3 hours until tender.
- Remove brisket, slice, and serve with onion sauce.
Notes
- Let the brisket rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- For extra flavor, marinate the brisket overnight.
