- 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon halves, garlic cloves, and rosemary.
- Place the chicken breast-side up on a roasting pan.
- Roast for 20 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
- For crispier skin, broil for the last 3-5 minutes.
