- 2 Chicken breasts
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- as needed Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch thick.
- In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Season both sides of the chicken cutlets with the spice mixture.
- Dip each chicken cutlet into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off.
- Coat the chicken cutlets in panko breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese, pressing gently to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the breaded chicken cutlets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
- Lightly spray the tops of the chicken cutlets with olive oil spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken cutlets in your favorite marinade for 30 minutes before breading.
- Feel free to customize the seasoning to your taste, adding herbs or spices as desired.
