Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and minced garlic.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them in a shallow dish and pour the honey mixture over them. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. While the salmon is marinating, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil. Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place the fillets in the skillet, skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked halfway up the sides.
  5. Flip the salmon fillets and pour the reserved marinade over them. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. In the same skillet, add the cooked green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the salmon with the garlic green beans and lemon wedges on the side.
