- 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 1 cup broccoli florets (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the steak in the skillet and stir to coat. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. If using broccoli, add it to the pasta pot during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli, then add them to the skillet with the steak. Toss everything together to combine.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
