Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 4 lbs)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh rosemary (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Pat the chicken dry and rub the honey garlic mixture all over.
  4. Place lemon slices and rosemary inside the chicken cavity.
  5. Put the chicken on a roasting pan breast-side up.
  6. Roast for 1 hour 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
