Delicious brownies made from sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix until combined.
- Stir in the sourdough discard.
- In another bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
- Adjust sugar based on your taste preference.
