Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the sourdough discard.
  6. In another bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  7. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until smooth.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares.
