A classic homemade apple pie with a flaky crust and sweet caramel drizzle.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 6 cups thinly sliced apples
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour and butter until crumbly. Add ice water to form dough.
- Roll out half the dough for the bottom crust and place in a pie dish.
- Toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture.
- Roll out the remaining dough for the top crust and place over apples. Seal edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust for ventilation.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the pie before serving.
Notes
- Use Granny Smith apples for a tart flavor.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling for easier handling.
- Let the pie cool slightly before slicing.
