This cute and easy bento cake is perfect for sharing on Mother’s Day. It’s a delightful treat that not only looks good but tastes amazing too!
Ingredients

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Butter, softened (for frosting)
- as needed Food coloring (optional)
- as desired Fresh fruit (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bento box or small cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bento box or cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the cake cool completely in the pan before removing.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar together until fluffy. Add food coloring if desired.
- Once cooled, spread the frosting on top of the cake and decorate with fresh fruit.
