- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 8 small taco shells
- Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa, mixing well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
- Serve the turkey mixture in taco shells and top with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add chopped bell peppers or corn to the turkey mix.
- Feel free to make it spicy by adding jalapeños or hot salsa.
