- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
- Stir in mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
- Push ingredients to the side, melt butter in the skillet.
- Whisk in flour, then gradually add beef broth.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard.
- Simmer until thickened, then remove from heat.
- Fold in sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice.

- Use lean ground beef for less grease.
- Replace sour cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
