  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.
  5. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
