- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained (or 4 cups fresh or frozen green beans)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- If using, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a 1.5-quart casserole dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, stir the mixture, and top with crispy fried onions.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
