- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (for sauce)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix mozzarella, parmesan, cream cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
- Slice a pocket into each chicken breast and stuff with the cheese mixture.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
- Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer sauce for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour sauce over baked chicken before serving.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife to create pockets in the chicken.
- Secure openings with toothpicks if needed.
- Adjust sauce thickness by simmering longer.
