- 500g potato gnocchi
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 100g Gruyère cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onions and sugar, cook until caramelized (about 20 minutes).
- Cook gnocchi according to package instructions, then drain.
- Mix gnocchi with caramelized onions.
- Sprinkle Gruyère on top and broil until melted (2-3 minutes).
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.

- Stir onions often to prevent burning.
- Use freshly grated Gruyère for best melting.
