A delicious and creamy gluten-free green bean casserole that’s perfect for holiday gatherings or any family meal.

- 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) gluten-free cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 cup gluten-free fried onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the bowl and mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, if using.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the mixture is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the gluten-free fried onions on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen green beans if fresh are not available; just thaw and drain them before using.
- Feel free to customize by adding cooked mushrooms or other vegetables.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
