Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (1-inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  3. While the steaks are cooking, in a small bowl, mix butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme until well combined.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes. In the same skillet, add asparagus and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  5. Add lemon juice to the asparagus and toss to coat.
  6. Top each steak with a generous dollop of garlic herb butter and serve alongside the sautéed asparagus.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, you can add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese over the asparagus before serving.
  • Adjust the cooking time for the steaks based on thickness and personal preference.
