Description

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add rice and toast for 2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth, lemon zest, and juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In another pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, oregano, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Sprinkle parsley over shrimp and serve with lemon rice pilaf.
Notes
- Use fresh shrimp for best results.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level.
- Let rice rest covered for 5 minutes after cooking.
