Description

A simple and delicious one-pan meal featuring juicy steak and crispy potatoes cooked in garlic butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8 oz) ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Season steaks with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add butter, garlic, and thyme to the skillet. Stir to coat the potatoes.
  5. Return steaks to the skillet. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  6. Serve hot with the garlic butter sauce.

Notes

  • Let the steak rest before slicing for juicier results.
  • Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
  • Swap baby potatoes with fingerlings or diced russets if preferred.
