Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  4. Remove from heat, then stir in the sugar, eggs, and sourdough discard until well combined.
  5. Add flour, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until smooth.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares.
