Description
Crispy fried okra made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh okra, trimmed
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Dip okra in buttermilk, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the coated okra in a single layer in the basket.
- Spray the okra lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper.
- Serve with dipping sauce of your choice.
