A deliciously sweet and buttery fresh peach cobbler that’s perfect for summer. The peaches are baked in a simple syrup, topped with a rich, golden biscuit crust.

- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the peaches and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit batter over the peaches.
- Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the top of the biscuit batter.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the peach mixture.
- This cobbler is best served warm and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
