Description

Soft and fluffy sourdough cinnamon rolls with a sweet cinnamon filling and creamy glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter (active)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg in a bowl.
  2. Add flour and salt, then knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Cover and let rise for 4-6 hours or overnight.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle.
  5. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
  7. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  8. Place in a greased pan and let rise for 1-2 hours.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze.
  11. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls.
