Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar dissolves, then stop stirring and let it boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nuts (if using).
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and let it cool slightly.
- While still warm, break into pieces or cut into squares.
- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the candy.
- Let the chocolate set before serving.
