- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
- Add carrots and celery, simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add shredded chicken and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and butter to form a dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes until dumplings are fluffy.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use leftover chicken for quicker prep.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
