- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb calamari, cleaned and cut into rings
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Lemon wedges for serving
- Tartar sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dredge each shrimp, calamari ring, and fish fillet in the flour mixture, making sure to coat evenly.
- Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Fry the calamari in batches for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Fry the fish fillets in batches for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
Notes
- Make sure the oil temperature is maintained for crispy results.
- Feel free to add your favorite seasonings to the flour mixture for extra flavor.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding cayenne pepper to the flour mixture.
