Delicious brownies made from discarded sourdough starter.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add melted butter, eggs, sourdough starter, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store brownies in an airtight container.
- They can be frozen for longer shelf life.
- Adjust sugar based on your preference.
