- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple (drained)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the melted butter and sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top.
- Arrange the drained crushed pineapple over the brown sugar mixture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the pineapple in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving platter.
