Description
A comforting and hearty chicken soup made in a crockpot.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups chopped vegetables (carrots, celery, onion)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cups egg noodles
Instructions
- Add chicken breasts to the crockpot.
- Pour in the chicken broth.
- Add chopped vegetables, garlic powder, thyme, black pepper, bay leaf, and salt.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove chicken, shred it, and return to the pot.
- Add frozen peas and egg noodles, then cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Freeze soup for up to 3 months.
- Add more broth for a thinner consistency.
