Ingredients

- 2 pounds frozen hash browns
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup additional shredded cheddar cheese for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the crockpot, spreading it evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the additional shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover and let the cheese melt before serving.
Notes
- For a kick, add chopped green onions or crumbled bacon on top before serving.
- You can substitute cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom for a vegetarian option.
- Make sure to spray the crockpot with non-stick spray for easy cleanup.
