Description

A rich and crispy potato gratin with layers of Parmesan and Gruyere cheese, baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix Parmesan and Gruyere in a bowl.
  3. Layer half the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half the cheese mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat with remaining potatoes and cheese.
  6. Pour cream over the layers and drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and crispy.
  9. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for even potato slices.
  • Let the gratin rest to set before cutting.
