- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese melts and chicken cooks through.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Serve chicken over spaghetti with extra marinara sauce.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Freshly grated Parmesan works best.
